In 2019 I participated in the worlds biggest science contest the "international Genetically Engineered Machine" with the Humbold University team. The project aimed to degrade microplastics in water with the help of microalgae.

How do plants see the world? I adressed this qustion during my master thesis, using cutting edge technology, to understand a blue/green light receptor of a Cyanobacterium. The most simple ancestors of plants.

If you are interested in the cultivation of microorganisms, but dont have the money to buy a commercial setup or want to learn about algae cultivation. I designed a DIY cultivation setup for educational purposes, the OpenPBR.
